Forest Park Community

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our first PTO meeting of the year. We have a variety of exciting events planned, and many will need volunteers. If you are interested in helping in any capacity, please remember that each school year you MUST complete a Volunteer Application and provide a BCI.

To make this easier, we will have a process set up during our Open House next week (Tuesday, September 16) to assist you with the Volunteer Application (including notary services and paperwork). Please bring your photo ID and a check or money order (no cash) for $5.00 payable to BCI.

Our Open House will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. Families with more than one child will be able to attend a second session, as all classroom teachers will present twice.

Next week, we are also excited to celebrate International Dot Day! This celebration began sixteen years ago when a teacher in Iowa noticed the original publishing date of a book he was reading with his class and decided to celebrate its “birthday.” Since then, Dot Day has become an international event! The book highlights creativity and encourages everyone to find the courage to “make their mark.” We have a variety of activities planned, along with a school-wide assembly on Tuesday afternoon.

As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or suggestions. Open communication is key to our community’s success.

Thank you for your ongoing support!

Best regards,

Joseph S. Rotz, Principal
