Forest Park Community,

I’d like to take a moment to share some important school updates.

School Safety

Please take a moment to [click here] and review the resources from last week’s School Safety Presentation. These materials outline the proactive steps we take to maintain a safe, supportive, and welcoming learning environment for all students and staff.

Assessment Results

Rhode Island’s statewide assessment results have been released. We are pleased to share that our students showed strong progress on the Next Generation Science Assessment (NGSA), with proficiency rates increasing from 48.1% to 64.1%.

Results from the Rhode Island Comprehensive Assessment System (RICAS) were more mixed, with English Language Arts proficiency improving from 56.1% to 58.3%, and Math proficiency decreasing from 67.4% to 55.9%.

Individual student reports for a variety of assessments will be sent home next Friday.

Upcoming Events

Please also take a moment to review the flyers attached. Trunk Fest sign-ups are due Monday, October 20th. If you plan on participating, please complete the form soon — our PTO and staff are working hard to make this a wonderful community event!

As always, thank you for your continued support and partnership. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or suggestions.
